Our Story

How we started and Evolved?

Elephant Scale started offering training in Big Data technologies in 2011, in response to a significant demand that the founders of ES saw.
The founders of Elephant Scale Sujee Maniyam and Mark Kerzner are well-known in the Big Data world.

The company was incorporated in 2013. It became known initially through publishing a book called Hadoop Illuminated, which is still very popular.

Since then we have published books and videos at O’Reilly and Packt, spoke at many conferences, delivered hundreds of classes to thousands of
students, all with consistent good feedback. We kept changing with new technologies and now our concentration is on Artificial Intelligence and on scalability technologies,
such as Spark, Hadoop, and NoSQL. Our dozens of trainers are power trainers and implementers who all are colleagues and friends.

Our Mission is to provide excellent quality Big Data training to clients (channels and direct), with consistent delivery.
