Cookie Policy

This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on elephantscale.com, what each one does, and how you can control them.

Effective date: September 1, 2026

1.What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, and local storage. Together we refer to these as “cookies” in this policy.

First-party cookies are set by elephantscale.com. Third-party cookies are set by the providers listed below when their scripts or embedded content run on our pages. Cookies may be session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them.

This policy sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the personal information these technologies collect.

2.Categories We Use

Strictly necessary

Required for the website to function: routing requests, maintaining security, balancing load, and completing checkout. These cannot be switched off through our site because the pages would not work without them.

Functional

Support features you ask for, such as embedded videos, scheduling widgets, and webinar registration. Blocking these means the related feature may not work.

Analytics

Help us understand which pages and courses are viewed, where visitors come from, and where they encounter friction, so we can improve the site. The data is used in aggregate.

Visitor identification

Used to identify the organization associated with a visit and to record which pages that organization viewed, so our team can follow up with relevant training information. These operate at the company level rather than identifying you personally by name.

Advertising

Measure the performance of our campaigns on professional networks and help show our training to relevant audiences. We do not use these to build profiles for sale to third parties.

3.Third-Party Providers

The table below lists the third-party technologies currently used on our website. Providers occasionally change, and this list is updated as they do.

Each provider name links to its own privacy notice, which describes the specific cookies it sets and how long they last.

4.How to Control Cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings — every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and offers a private browsing mode. Blocking all cookies will break parts of this site.
  • Google Analytics opt-out — install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • LinkedIn advertising — adjust ad preferences in your LinkedIn account settings.
  • Industry opt-out tools — the Digital Advertising Alliance and Your Online Choices offer opt-outs across participating advertising networks.
  • Global privacy signals — where required by law, we honor browser-level opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
  • Direct request — email info@elephantscale.com to ask us to stop non-essential tracking associated with your visits.

Opting out stops personalization and measurement, but does not stop you from seeing advertising generally. Because opt-outs are typically stored in a cookie, clearing your cookies or switching browsers or devices may require you to opt out again.

5.Do Not Track

There is no common industry standard for responding to browser “Do Not Track” signals, so our site does not respond to them at this time. We do honor recognized opt-out preference signals where applicable law requires it, as noted above.

6.Changes to This Policy

We update this Cookie Policy when we add, remove, or change the technologies we use, or when legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
